Accessibility statement
Supervision Portal · Last updated 22 July 2026
Our commitment
N3i is committed to making our Supervision Portal accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This website aims to meet at least Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 standard.
What you should be able to do
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this portal. This means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the portal using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the portal using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the portal using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
- use the display settings built into the portal (text size, dark theme, high contrast)
We've also made the portal text as simple as possible to understand.
Accessibility features
This portal includes:
- Skip to main content — bypass navigation
- Display settings — text size, dark theme and high-contrast controls, available on every page
- Keyboard navigation — full keyboard support throughout
- Screen reader compatibility — proper ARIA labels and semantic HTML
- Focus indicators — clear visual focus for keyboard users
- Reduced motion — animations respect your device's reduced-motion preference
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.
Known issues
We're aware of the following accessibility issues:
- Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible
- Some complex data visualisations may be difficult to interpret with screen readers
- Some third-party embedded content may not meet accessibility standards
We are working to address these issues.
Non-accessible content
PDFs and other documents
Some older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text content). Where possible, we aim to provide alternative formats or HTML versions.
Disproportionate burden
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they're not essential to providing our services.
What we're doing to improve
- Conduct regular accessibility audits
- Ensure all new content meets WCAG 2.2 AA standards
- Provide training for staff on creating accessible content
- Test the portal with assistive technologies
- Work with users who have disabilities to improve accessibility
